From Plans to Decisions: How investors are using transition plans to drive long-term value

Date: Wednesday 26 August
Time: 9:00–10:00am BST
Location: Online

Transition plans are becoming a critical tool for shaping investors’ assessments of companies’ long-term value and resilience.

In May 2026, ITPN, in partnership with Chronos Sustainability, published new research based on interviews and surveys with 35 institutional investors globally.

The findings signal that transition planning is moving from a niche to mainstream investment practice, with over 80% of those surveyed already using transition plans in their investment and/or stewardship processes.

More than 40 jurisdictions have adopted or are using the IFRS S2 standard, requiring entities to disclose transition plans where they exist. Against this evolving landscape, investors are increasingly putting transition plan information into practice.

This webinar will:
  • Share key insights from our latest global investor research
  • Highlight how transition plans are already influencing real-world investment decisions, including capital allocation, voting, engagement, and stewardship
  • Explore how widespread, standardised transition plan disclosure could unlock greater benefit

This session is designed for:
